The Ministry of Culture and Heritage contributes to the development of culture and knowledge of national artistic production through museographic proposals in our museums.

The exhibition project of SABER KNOWLEDGE TO KNOW ALL complies with one of the axes that mark our activity as an institution, which is to bring different audiences to the works and goods of our collections, who were its creators and how they defined, through their work, the history of Ecuadorian art. Likewise, it arises as a way to value the work carried out by the museum with the heritage it holds, in terms of research, cataloging and expertise.

FROM KNOWING SABER TO KNOWING ALL came in 2016, with a sample entitled: "Milestones and processes in modern art of Ecuador", using for the first time the technology that allows the visitor, using an intelligent device, access information about the works and the artists.

For this second installment we saw the importance of highlighting a historical fact within the national plastic arts.

Homage is paid, with the presentation of the works of the MAAC collection, to the eight artists who formed the group called VAN (National Artistic Vanguard): Gilberto Almeida, Hugo Cifuentes, Luis Molinari, Oswaldo Moreno, Guillermo Muriel, León Ricaurte, Enrique Tábara and Aníbal Villacís, who launched a Manifesto and organized a rejection exhibition at the official contest of the First Quito Biennial in April 1968.
